Can I "upgrade" a discounted single day ticket to Disneyland to an annual pass?

  • My school sells a single day ticket to Disneyland for $71. Could I buy that and then upgrade it to on of the annual passes when I get there? Thus saving me $9? I know it's kinda silly to do it to save $9, but I'm a college student and I can use all the money I can.

    Yes, any valid ticket can be used to upgrade to a ticket of higher value or an Annual Pass. If the discounted rate is printed on the ticket, they may only apply the discounted rate toward the Pass and not the regular park price, though. These transactions are now handled at the Ticket Booths, since there is no longer an Annual Pass Center inside either park.

You can upgrade your admission ticket to an annual pass by visiting the Annual Pass Center on Main Street on the day you visit the park and use the ticket only. You will be discounted the price shown on the ticket and it will be deducted from the price of the annual pass. The only way you can not is if it says "Not Upgradable" on the ticket. You can also opt for the payment plan and spend only about $10 a month at minimum depending on what annual pass you get. http://www.disneyland.com/ap
