How to pursue graphic design and writing career?

I'm in High School, and I want to pursue a career in Roller Coaster Design/ Testing?

  • I am a 14 year old, and I really want to pursue a career in rollercoaster design, testing, or building. I would like to know if there's anything I can do when I'm still in High School to begin preparing? Also, what should I do for college? I would like to have an Idea of a good college (I am an honor roll student with lots of extra curriculars) and what to major in. I WILL LOVE ALL HELP YOU CAN GIVE ME!!!

  • Answer:

to design roller coasters you will need to be an engineer, that means lots of math. Web design wont do you any good at all, it all gets outsourced anyway. CAD will be very helpfull also,, it is what they call engineering design these days. So go for as much math as you can in high school then engineering in college. Some drawing and art is helpfull also.

WHY DON'T YOU TELL ME THESE THINGS PHILIP!?!?!!!! Don't even THINK of mentioning things to your best friend! Sheesh!! Anyway, you might want to try something to do with technical engineering or mechanics. I'll talk to my dad later, and have more for you. TTYL (and CALL me!) ~Jul!~

You should begin looking into web design and CAD. If your school has a technology course this would be a great place to start. All rollercoasters are designed by computer now so that is where to start. As far as the college, find a school near you that offers graphic design and physics, you will need both!

Web Design, CAD, or architecture will probably help you...what a fun career!! Good luck!

Advanced mathmatics, then onto engineering school! If you plan on designing them, you'll have to be involved in mechanical or structural engineering. Good luck, don't kill anybody!

You need to be an engineer.
