When did Sesame Place (Langhorne, PA) change from "rides" that kids run/ jump/climb on to amusement park rides

We were at Sesame Place this holiday week and it was a lot different than when I went as a kid. I realize everything can't stay the same, but I really like the things that the kids can participate in - the nets, moon-bounce, etc. My son really enjoyed that stuff...probably more than the newer rides...although he liked them as well. I'm just interested in knowing when the changeover occurred and if anyone else feels the same (or opposite).

I live in Philly. I have 2 girls and we don't go there every year. But they have been making such changes roughly over the last 10-12 years. I was surprised to go there once and find the Super Grover coaster, and how they had a monster expansion in the water park section. I am happy that they constantly add new things, and they maintain such a kid friendly atmosphere there. I think it is great that they have expanded the water park, and added many new things. But I am glad that they still find a way to balance and keep the more activity based attractions around, instead of replacing it ALL with technology. It remains a nice place, and lots of fun. My kids are older now, but we were still talking about maybe going there this year because we have not in a few years, and it is so much fun. (Us adults have alot of fun there too.) But yeah, it is SO VERY different from when we were growing up. (What has stayed the same after all?)
