Best rides at worlds of fun?

Does Worlds of Fun have a lot of rides that aren't very scary?

  • For my church's fall retreat this year, we're going to Worlds of Fun for a day. I'm excited for the retreat, but really scared to go to Worlds of Fun because my friends are gonna try and get me to ride rollar coasters and all the scary rides! Does World's of Fun have a lot of rides that aren't as scary, too? Like ones that aren't really dumb? I'm afraid that everyone is just gonna wanna ride the roller coasters without me!

    My son was terribly afraid of rides. We went last night and there are plenty of rides that are fun and are not scary. Viking Voyage, Fury of the Nile - you will get wet on these, especially Fury of the Nile - I WAS SOAKED! There are the taxis, the bumper cars, a ferris wheel, carousile, and several other rides, shows, etc. that are fun. Anyway, my son had a wonderful time and we did not ride one roller coaster or "scary ride". Problem is, many of the people that "love" roller coasters will find the other rides "dumb". That's okay as long as you are having a good time. No way to compare the mild rides to a roller coaster. Go to www.worldsoffun.com. They have a list of their rides.

There are a lot of rides for people who are "in between". Too old for the kiddie rides but not quite ready to tackle the big coasters yet. Although I must admit that most of the coasters are pretty weak (except for the mamba). You should try the oriental express, it's a coaster but it's not very scary at all. Otherwise there is a water raft ride which is pretty fun, theres a log or boat ride that you would probably like, you probably wont have a hard time finding rides to suit your likes, but I can't lie, rollercoaster lovers are going to want to be on the rollercoasters, and if you don't want to tag along you might be left out. Although I find it hard to believe that everyone in your church retreat is brave enough for coasters, you may find another person or two with the same fear of coasters as yourself.
