Oops...I pressed the "interesting" button by accident. I think your planning this a little wrong if you are going for a week...there aren't any parks with 25+ coasters (17 is a lot...the top you are going to get anywhere). I think your question should be "which AREA of the US is the best for a one-week theme park adventure" - because you really cannot spend one week at one specific park... if you are going to go for a week, then you obviously need to spend time between several parks because one park is going to be hell-a boring for a week. You can try a Northeast trip and go between Six Flags New England, Lake Compounce, Six Flags Great Adventure, Hershey Park, Dorney Park/Knoebels, and then maybe go toward the west and hit Kennywood, Waldameer, Cedar Point, and Kings Island, or head south toward Six Flags America, Kings Dominion, and Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Really, you just need to pick an area of the states and make your rounds to all the nearby parks. The best areas are definitely in the Northeast, although there are some great rides in California, Texas, Florida/Georgia, and the Midwest. It's hard to find a park with several QUALITY coasters, I would say the "Busch" Parks, Cedar Point, Six Flags Magic Mountain, and Six Flags Great Adventure all have a concentration of good coasters, but most other Six Flags, Cedar Fair, or any other park would only have 2 or 3 GOOD coasters, the rest are just "meh". So yeh...find an area of the States you can afford to visit, then make your rounds to all the larger local parks.

Cedar Point ohio it has 17 roller coasters, and almost all of them i've heard are good ones along with a ton of thrill rides one of them goes 420 feet high and 120 miles fast...it used to be the worlds biggest and fastest :)

"Cedar Point is a 364-acre (1.47 km²) amusement park located in Sandusky, Ohio, United States on a narrow peninsula jutting into Lake Erie. The park holds the world record for the most roller coasters in a single amusement park (17). Cedar Point is also the only amusement park with four roller coasters that are taller than 200 feet (61 m). As of 2010[update], Cedar Point has more rides (75) than any other amusement park.[1] Cedar Point is officially dubbed "The Roller Coaster Capital of the World."(Wikipedia) there is no place bigger so unless your a time traveler cedar point is the best option for now also the lines have a decent wait

Cedar Point, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Kings Dominion, and Six Flags Great Adventure are all parks with many very thrilling coasters. Cedar Point, which has 17 roller coasters, is the amusement park with the most roller coasters in the world (Six Flags Magic Mountain has the 2nd most). Don't forget about rides other than the roller coasters. Cedar Point has other very thrilling rides like Skyhawk, MaxAir, Power tower, Chaos, etc. Just so you know, spending one whole week at only one amusement park can be a bit much, even if it is a park like Cedar Point. Three days at the most would be sufficient to do everything at that park. Your best bet would be to go on a "coaster trip" to many of the amusement parks in a certain area. Coincidentally, I just came back from one of these kind of trips. I went to Knoebels in PA, Cedar Point in OH, Kennywood, and Dorney Park (both in PA), all in 5 days. I went on all of the roller coasters that I could (29) very easily, spending 2 hours at Knoebels, 1.5 days at Cedar Point, about 4 hours at Kennywood, and 3 hours at Dorney (most of the time during the week was spent driving - I live in CT). By the way, why do you think Kingda Ka is better than TTD? Just because it goes a little bit faster and is a little bit higher? I have been on both, and I noticed that TTD was significantly smoother, and a lot more comfortable – as it does not have the over the shoulder restraints that KK does. This is why TTD is consistently rated near the top of the best steel coaster lists, while KK doesn't even come close.

Well I have been to Six Flags (MA), Disney (FL), Universal (FL), and Hershey Park (PA). I think I liked Six Flags the best though! Because they have Bizarro :D It's the same thing as Superman it's just they changed the name and repainted it :P But yeah, Bizarro is amazing. It goes like 80 mph but if you sit in the very front it feels much faster!! And at the Sixflags in New Engand if you go on the left side of Bizarro there is nothing but a HUGE lake! It's scary but awesome! The drop goes in too its crazy because you can't see the tracks if you sit in the front. You go flying through tunnels with mist and right next to huge fire bursts! They also have Batman, Mind Eraser, Scream<3, Sky Coaster, the Blitz, Flash back, and more. But if you go to Six Flags go to the one in New Jersey because they have King Da Ka! Haha that ride looks sweeeeeeeeeet! Orlando was fun but they didn't have a lot of big rides just basically the hulk. And Hershey did have a lot of big roller coasters but nothing like the insane experience of Bizarro! Disney sucked. Good luck have fun!! :D

Take a trip to Southern California! We have three very good thrill parks within reasonable distance including Six Flags Magic Magic Mountain, Universal Studios Hollywood, and Knotts Berry Farm. Six Flags Magic Mountain has numerous amounts of roller coasters from Stand-up coasters and to both Flying and Suspened coasters and they even have a 4D roller coaster called "x2" the first and only of its kind, its pretty intense. Knotts Berry Farm would be runner-up to six flags with their line-up of great coasters including "xcelerator" which takes you 0-82 in 2.3 seconds, it was the test coaster for top thrill dragster and made it possible for rides such as top thrill dragster and kingda ka to exist. AND if you decide to go back on Disney Rides they also have both DisneyLand and Disney California Adventure. This way you can hit up multiple parks instead of just the same park over and over that whole week. either way enjoy yo visit!
