Six Flags After Interview help??!!!!!?
-
Hi guys today i had an interview with the security department at Six Flags Great America. I thought the interview went well and I was expecting a drug test, math test, 2nd interview etc. But at the end of the interview the supervisor told me that he will call me at a later date! What does this mean?? Did I get denied from the job?? Is there still a possibility of getting the job?? When should I call them back?? I know many people talk about how right after there interview they are hired on the spot or go into a group interview and then get hired after that but that never happened to me. I know it's security and its more serious than games, or ride operators, etc but does this mean i'm not hired? Please anybody with this experience please help and any other advice is much appreciated as well!!!

Answer:
Mine was 6 flags new england and they told me right away that they wanted me back and booked the second interview on the spot. The only people that they play that game with is if you are under 18 or 21. A lot of times, with police reports, dispatching, etc. There's stuff that a kid can't legally do. If they have another interview after you with someone above 21, unless they have a criminal record, they usually take the elder. The kids also need a work permit to clear. For me they went into my educational records They wanted to see my English grades and how I did in my 60 credits of specialized security degree work. You are right though, the admissions kids, restroom attendants, and non-skilled jobs are less competitive/checked on. How much experience are you walking in with? A security degree? CRM degree? Did they give you a mock police report to write? That evaluates your skills as well.

<--- also hired on the spot. They may have put a flag on you if you responded badly to question. What would you do if a ride gate was open? What would you do if there was an active shooter? How do you break off a fight between two customers? All questions if answered wrong or with the least bit of hesitation will screw you. How old are you? As stated before, they like kids over 18, but love them over 21 due to certain duties and if you ever have to send a case to court a minor can't testify. How much prior experience do you have? They like prior class work or security jobs when hiring

Hate to say it but keep looking for a job. I got hired on the spot a few years ago at Six Flags Magic Mountain for security, it was a great job but I was only able to do it for one summer because I ended up going to college in another state. If you get hired congrats! you will love it, but it does not sound good.
