Questions about the Disney Shows?

Auditioning to work in Disney World... help!?

• I am attending the "Disney Character Performers for Shows and Parades, Disney Character Look-alikes" audition in Disney world on the 19th this month. I just wanted to know a little bit about the process. I would be so happy with ANY position they could offer me in entertainment--I just had a few questions. First of all, I'm just barely 5'2''. I know that as far as face characters go, that means that I could most likely be a fairy, Alice, or Wendy. I've heard SOME Jasmines are 5'2''... but I don't know if that's just a rumor. My preference would be that they would hire me as Rosetta (the garden fairy in Pixie Hollow from the Tinkerbell movies), but like I said, I'm not picky. I was just wondering if anyone could help me out with what I should expect at the audition. How to they pick you as a parade dancer? I know it isn't equity... so is it about as easy (or as difficult) as getting hired as a character? Lastly, I know that mouse height is 4'10''-5'1''. I've also heard that Disney makes you an inch shorter than you actually are. So, would that mean that in Disney, I'm just barely 5'1''? If so, does that mean I could be Mickey and Minnie?   okay so i dont really know much about the disney audition process but ive heard that its very hard to be hired as a face character, meaning the princesses, ect. so youll probably have a better chance of getting hired since your not auditioning to be a face character. i recently was at disney and you look just like the rosetta that i met there. all of the fairies (fawn, rosetta, tinkerbelle, ect.) looked like they were around your height. they were also very energetic and they talked very fast, so if you can pull off the personility, i think you definitely look the part. you look like you would be a pretty wendy too! good luck!
