What are some good healthy diet foods?

  • I need some good fat burning foods? I'm going to the grocery store and writing a list right now, I really need to lose some weight this year instead of keep saying "next year I will". I want some good light foods. I just done my online shopping to start a diet, they are delivering to my house tomorrow I ordered apple juice orange juice cranberry juice pineapple juice grape juice coconut juice 4 bags of ice cubes 48 cans of pepsi LIGHT low fat yoghurts soya milk light cream cheese light crackers granola bars pineapples kiwi bananas apples strawberries oats cheerios sparemint tea green tea tuna ham watermelon 8 1 litre bottles of water cucumbers lettuce tomatoes skinless chicken brown bread light mayo fish cakes ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD BUY THAT IS A MUST TO HAVE IN FOR A DIET? WHAT ABOUT PEANUTS OR SNACK FOODS? WHAT ARE GOOD DIET/LOW FAT DINNER MEALS?     Most of what you have sounds healthy :) be careful about the juices though, they tend to give you calories but not fill you up as much. Spices and chili are good because they speed up your metabolism. Be sure to let yourself have small treats now and then though!!! Good luck!

I've found that the best thing to do is shop for meals, not ingredients. If you just have stuff lying around but aren't sure what to prepare with it, you're more likely to just grab what's easy and over-snack. Instead, buy all the ingredients you'll need for a really tasty, veg-high meal. That way you'll be excited about it and will actually make it, and you won't resort to easier, less healthy snacks. I also shop every three to four days so I don't have too much in the fridge at any give time.
