What does it mean to hear that you have a "1-900" voice?

• Upon talking to a vast series of guys they all tell me they love my voice. They mention to me I have a deep voice, they tell me it sounds like a "1-900" voice. What does this mean? And why do they like that my voice is deep? I feel paranoid that my voice sounds manly. Is this a compliment? Should I feel good? And what does it mean when they mock my voice? I always say "I don't sound like that." And they just play around like that. So is that a good thing?

  Guys call 1-900 numbers to have sex with women over the phone. Kind of like sexting but verbally over the phone. When they say this to you, they most likely mean you have a sexy voice. I would take it as somewhat of a compliment, but would ask how they know what a 1-900 voice sounds like.
