How To Make Popcorn?

Does anyone know how to make popcorn on the stove?

  • I have popcorn kernels and I'm really hungry (it's late and nothing is open) but they're not the microwave kind and my hot-air popper broke, is there anyway I can make popcorn?

    You need Cooking oil. Cover the bottom of a pot with cooking oil and turn heat to high. Throw in one kernal. When it pops, the oil is hot enough. Pour in enough kernals to cover the bottom of the pot. Make sure the kernals are not sitting on top of each other, in otherwords, one layer. Cover pot with lid. When kernals start popping, shake pot every minute or so to shake unpopped kernal to the bottom.

Another way is table spoon of oil brown papper bag shake half a cup of corn in the bag roll the top and put in microwave they all have different power ranges so you just gotta listen for time and they seem to pop that way way better then the pre packages popcorn made for microwaves... any ways happy snacking

the first answer is basically the way...but keep the pan moving by shaking it back and forth, and don't wait till they stop popping or you'll burn the pop corn, just listen for the popping to slow...like in a microwave

Put the seeds in a pot, and cover it with a lid. It will pop from the heat and walla! You have popcorn.

No I never tried. I'm lazy I love the microwave kind. I don't want to pay for a popcorn maker that I know I'll barely use.

A pot with a lid. some cooking oil and and POP corn. Cook till you most of the corn stops popping. then yeah empty into a bowl. Thats it i guess.
