• I'm having a birthday party and I've never made jello shots before. I'm making two batches: strawberry-banana with no alcohol, and lime with jose cuervo margarita minis in it. I'm trying to accommodate for people who do and don't drink. I've only made jello a couple times in a pan. I need some step-by-step instructions on how to add the margarita mix and how to put the jello into the shot glass.   If you use a small box of jello you need 2 cups of liquid. I usually use 1 cup of hot water and one cup of alcohol. In your case with the margarita mix you will need more because I use straight tequila not a mix. You will also need 2 oz. plastic containers to put them in. Sam's sells them but they are huge quantities. You can probably find them in a supply store also. It all depends on the amount of alcohol you put in as to how buzzed you get. I own a nightclub and this is how we do it. Have fun.
