Why do people make fun of me because I drink Smirnoff Ice?

  • I went to a party and they were picking out what they wanted to drink and I said "Smirnoff Ice" and people started laughing at me. These were hardcore drinkers and heavy party people, into drugs and stuff. Tosh.0 also made fun of people who drink Smirnoff Ice. Usually people laugh when they see me drinking it. I like it because it tastes like candy and it gets me buzzed. But why do people make fun of me?

    because it is basically alcoholic soda pop. it is a mildly alcoholic very sugary sweet soda/kool aide type malt beverage. to most hard core drinkers it is seens as alcohol light not not a REAL alcohol. it is the equivalent of white zinfandel in the wine world. alcohol for beginners.

Live your own life.. not the life of others.. Dont worry about what others think of you. Drink what you want and if they laugh at you.. just smile and walk away. The looks and comments are just superficial.. dont let it get to you. Be yourself. Dont change for others. I love strawberry daq. But I can never finish the whole thing without getting too buzzed, so I always have to leave half of it behind and not drink it..that is such a waste. So I decided to order a Virgin one. It may not get me buzzed but I now can finish it all and I am happy about that. My friends always laugh at me when I order. I just say.. Hey... it is what I like.. so just chill. LOL They just laugh and we go on with the night. No biggy.. They have their laugh and I have my whole drink. :)

It like malboro ciggaretts basically when they where first advertised a girl was playing the piano and smoking it so it was more of a chicks cig malboro didn't like this so changed the commercials to cow boys and now its a Guy cigarette Nick named cow boy killer also there one of the strongest cigarettes now its a manly mans smoke they laugh beacouse its been brought up to be a girls drink in my opinion I drink beer its not nasty but Smirnoff is hell of a lot better and most people would agree they just think that beacouse its brought up to be a girls drink just like long island ice teas people think of girls drink but it has 6 different shots and is very stong mud slides girl drink and it has alot of vodka just taste like coffee beacouse of the khalua and Baileys I wouldn't care I can tell your in your twenties and people think its cool to drink hatd beer although its probly bud light with is no stronger then Smirnoff my points people judge it just beacouse it doesn't take like alcohol with is misjudged people think of alchol as the stronger the nasty it tastes witch isn't true don't drink nasty beer if you like Smirnoff does there beer get them drunk? Yes does yours yes do whatever you like don't worry about other people

Probably because the alcohol content in it is pitiful at best when compared to hard alcohol. I say that because you said they are hardcore drinkers & party people, so they probably drink hard alcohol a lot. I wouldn't let it get you down. Drink what you enjoy drinking. That's all that really matters.
