Does anyone know of any good fourth of July Drinks?

Does anyone know of any good holiday festive drinks or cocktail recipes?

  • Hey there, So Christmas is around the corner, but so is Thanksgiving and I need to know if there's any kind of festive drinks I can bring to the thanksgiving dinner my family and friends are having next week. What can I get when I stop by the liquor store, or what kind of simple recipes can I make? Any hot, warm drinks that we can sip on after a nice meal, or is egg nog just the preferred drink? I'd like to know of any creative or original drinks or cocktails too. Thanks a lot and have a happy thanksgiving!

  • Answer:

I like mulled wine and you can use cheap wine for it. Depending on your preference and what's available just google it and pick a recipe. Warm woolly sheeps are good but they are expensive because of the drambuie. Things with cranberry juice or cranberry vodka have a Thanksgiving feel to them too and most people like those flavours.

Stir in almonds and raisins and continue to boil for 15 more minutes. Remove from heat. 2.Place a wire grill over the pot and cover with sugar cubes. I don't know where you live but nothing says Thanksgiving to me like cranberries. So, starting last week, when I order an adult libation, I order a "Cape Cod". It's a fun title for cranberry juice and vodka. After Thanksgiving I will go back to my usual Rum and Coke or Vodka Collins. (I'm a sissy when it comes to drinking). I do not like hot drinks and I hate egg nog. But, what I like to make as gifts for my friends around this time of year is a drink I was introduced to in the 1980's. It was called an Angel's Snowshoe. It's equal parts of Peppermint Schnapps (one of my favorites after a dinner), vodka and creme de cacao. Because of the alcoholic content, you don't drink very much and you can keep it in the freezer. Very simple to put together and I go to World Market (Cost Plus)/Pier 1 to buy inexpensive bottles to decant the drink. I then name it something fun with my own label....Nurse Nancy's Exlixer* ( * was a note on the bottom of the label that read; use in case of snakebite) is what I called it oneliqueur Buy a couple of small liquer glasses and some excelsior and a small basket and but a bow on it. Makes for a good hostess/host gift as well. Back at you for you and yours to havea safe and festive Thanksgiving as well.
