How to become a bartender?

  • I'm 18 years old and decided I want to be a bartender. I don't know what to do to become one, so far I know that I need a liquor license first, but I don't know how to get that either. x.x Can someone help me? By the way I live in Oklahoma if that helps anything.

    Hi Gabby. Living in Oklahoma it is against the law to become a bartender until you're 21. Another option may be to become a barback just to get your foot in the door of a place and maybe learn a few things... but I don't believe barbacks learn much about the actual job of bartending.
