Does anyone know where to find St. Halavard Liquor?
-
I'm not 100% sure if that's the name of the alcohol, but it's a liquor and a lot of people pour is over ice cream and make a yummy treat (St. Halavard's Ice). The front of the bottle has a stained glass window and the liquor is a carmel color. It's amazing and I haven't been able to find it for years--nor has anyone else in my family. Help please if you can.

Answer:
St. Hallvard (it might be Halvard) is the attempt by the Norwegian liquor monopoly to make a domestic liqueur that tastes and looks somewhat like Grand Marnier. I do not know if it is sold outside of Norway but you can always email the Norwegian Vinmonopolet and ask if it exports any and to where. Perhaps to areas of the world with Norwegian heritage populations like Minnesota, USA.
