What is the oldest beer in the world?

What region of the world makes the best beer? Support your answer!!?

  • I have tried beer the world over, but the BEST BEER IN THE WORLD is made in Colorado, USA. The German stuff is ok, the Belgian is a little better. Anything from Texas sucks, and the Oregon beers are ok. Too few good ones, and their best isn't as good as Colorado's best. new Belgium Fat Tire, Odell's Easy Street Wheat, Flying Dog Doggie Style and Gonzo Porter, Breckenridge Avalance Ale or Oatmeal Stout...so many good ones. No, Coors is not on the good list. It is better than Bud, but so is race-horse piss.

  • Answer:

Belgium, for his reason; every beer you've ever tried, was first made, and perfected, in Belgium. I've spent alot of time trying beers in Colorado and elsewhere, and they do a lovely job of it, but they are only trying to copy the originals. Little Belgium has over 450 different beers to choose from. While America has a seemingly infinite variety, the microbrew phenonomena that spawned them all has only been going strong for 20 or 30 years. They have been experimenting and refining the technique and ingredients in Belgium for centuries, and take it very seriously. If you think Denver beer is better, it is only because you haven't tasted a fraction of what Belgium has to offer.

Czech republic, Belgium and Germany are all brewing the best beer. I just went for 2 weeks in Germany and had a different beer in every town and it was great. The nice thing about Germany is you can be anywhere outside and drink beer and they don't care at all. It is food. Some of the craft beers made here are great also. The mass produced beers are mostly made for the American palate and i can not think of one that is worth the time drinking and i stay away. I have a kegerator and always get Paulener, Spaten Stella Artios or local craft beer which are all great.

Being a good Irish girl, I say Guinness. It's full of iron, it's good for you and it's so good they even give it to heart patients here in hospital to get their strength up.

I enjoy San Miguel the most (Philippines).

Guinness, Ireland is my personal fav. However Budweiser - Brewed and sold since 1876, "The King of Beers" is the largest-selling beer in the world. Budweiser has been the world's best-selling beer since 1957, and is distributed in more than 70 countries. Budweiser leads the U.S. premium beer category, outselling all other domestic premium beers combined. In fact, one in almost every five beers sold in the United States today is a Budweiser.

I don't know

Best beer is made in Northern California.

I'm not exactly a beer afficianado, but I agree, Colorado makes some good beers. The New Belgium company in Ft. Collins, CO makes lots of creative, different, varying microbrews. Fat Tire is a favorite among friends who can afford it. (We're poor college kids, so we end up drinking a lot of Keystone LOL) And as far as Coors goes, no, it isn't the best beer in the world, but when you compare Coors Light to the other biggies (Bud Light, Miller Light, Corona Light), I think it is hands down the best. I've had a couple Belgian beers, but they are too sweet and too thick. The so-called "Mexican" beers that are really made by German brewmasters from German recipes in Mexico, don't stand up on thier own. Corona and Dos Equis only taste good if you add lime juice or lemon juice to them, that doesn't lend them much credibility. American beer takes the cake, but you have to hand it to the Germans and the Belgians, they know what they are doing too. Although I moved recently, I am origianally from Colorado (might add to my bias a little bit), specifically, I am from a town about 15 mintues away from where Coors is made, and it is a big part of the local economy, so no matter what anyone says, I'd take a Coors Light over any other beer any day, just because it's what I am used to. But when I was up visiting for Spring Break, my friends and I thought it would be fun to tour the Coors plant. Interestingly, the tour guide admitted that Coors is not as big a seller as Bud is, so I imagine a bunch of those people making Bud so popular are going to try to argue that it's the best and they'll be quite offended by your statement LOL. Argueably, it sells better not because of the taste of Bud itself, but because it is generally cheaper than the other top American beers (Coors and Miller), and because it has several subsidaries. But you just can't understand how good Coors is until you go on that tour and have Coors Light fresh from the tap at the plant itself. It's like cool mountain spring water, it's amazing. LOL

My favorite is Paulaner, the best example of the German wheat-beer (weizenbier) style. Its a light lager-style beer with a refreshing hoppy taste. I also love Belgian Trappist beers, such as Rochefort Dix. I live in England and there are lots of english-style beers that I like. Most foreigners first impression is that they are flat and room temperature. However, if you can acquire a taste for them, they have a lot of rich flavours. My favourite is Ruddles County. Gales Winter Warmer is good too, a dark fruity/spicy beer.
