Do you prefer American beer, or European? Or any other?

Which MAJOR American beer will you drink now?

  • With the Big 3 being owned by foreign companies, which beer will you drink? I am not talking about micro-brews for those who drink that, this question is not for you. You have Yuengling and Sam Adams which are American owned. You have Pabst Brewing Co. that is American owned, but contracts its' brewing operation to MillerCoors (foreign-owned) And of course Anheuser-Busch is foreign-owned...so which beer do you prefer to drink to keep the most dollars here in America?

  • Answer:

First of all I still love Budweiser and will drink it. But because of the economic thing and my anti-Continental Europe stance i will drink Henry Weinhard's Private Reserve, Henry Weinhard's Blue Boar Pale Ale.

Do they still make beer in the white can? thats my choice if not then red hook it is only half owned by ABInBev

Drinking is the Devil!

You make a good point about keeping the money in the U.S. Henry Weinhardts Blue Boar

CORVATO

Lagunitas, Stone Brewing Company, Sierra Nevada + Shiner are among my favourites. When on a budget + friends are buying I have found myself having Busch or Lone Star. ps: Ownership shouldn't matter. Everyone in America is the descendant of a foreigner.

How are people old enough to drink and spell "lager" as "logger"?? I keep seeing that and it's driving me nuts! Anyways Yuengling as you mentioned is all American owned and it's not too much more than the crappy big 3 and a lot better tasting. One thing to keep in mind is buying beer that is brewed in the US and just OWNED by an overseas company is helping the US much more than inBev (the company who owns the big 3). It's such a miniscule amount that you deciding to buy a case of something doesn't matter. Look at it this way. You buy a case of beer, it helps the store you bought it from, the company who delivered it, the brewery employees etc. By the time inBev gets the small profit there's not much left. All the more reason to buy craft beer!! :D
