Other country's food?
-
We had Uchinancyu Festival a couple week ago at Okinawa, Japan. It is a festival for Okinawan people who immigrated in all over the world. There are so many food stall from around the world that I wondered what to eat. Eventually, I bought Choripán which is a type of sandwich with chorizo invented in Argentina. To be honest, I didnt like it. I have tried Brazilian food, Thai food, Korean food, Chinese food etc... Anyway, I think Chinese food is the best for me.(Needless to say, Japanese food is the best but weed out it) Which country food is the best for you? ※except own country's one.

Eimi-san: Nihon no ryori wa ichiban!!! lol. I'm American, and I love Japanese food. It was my first ethnic food that I really liked, but I've never had kaiseki or anything really exotic. I'd like to try. I also like: Thai Peruvian Vietnamese Afghan Cantonese Italian Mexican Korean French Trinidadian Greek Hmmmmm... there's not that much I don't like! I'm not that crazy about food from land-locked cultures, like Mongolia, Tibet, Bavaria (Germany), Hungary, etc. Not enough fish and green vegetables!

American food is good taste, too. I like to have McDonald’s fast food. For instance, a hamburger, fried potato, and chicken nugget are nice. I begin to be hungry now by thinking them.

Lived in the US all my life and have not traveled to other countries so I'll have to say I like the variety of food that is available here. Most people who live here have roots to all the other countries of the world so their recipes are here with their families from all the different ethnic groups. My grandparents came from Italy so that is my "soul food". I have a taste for pasta and red sauce each week or something does not feel normal. We have other foods too that we enjoy like Chinese and down home southern cuisine. Too many to decide what is loved the most. Start frying something and I'll come running. I love that aroma. :)

I like Asian food, in general. Sushi, fried rice, crab rangoon, pad thai, anything is delicious. I also loooooooove Indian food and sweets, and I like Mexican, but not really the food, mostly the goodies like churros or pan dulce, or anything you can get at a panaderia. :3

I am Uchinancyu. And I joined in the festival. I like Ryukyu food the best. Do you know what Ryukyu food is? For example Okinawa soba, Goya Chanpuru, rahute and so on. There is famous and popular from not Uchinancyu in Japan. If you have a chance, you should try Ryukyu food!!!
