It's not why white people per-say like or dislike more ethnic foods, it has nothing to do with skin colour it is more dependant on both personal taste and occasionally diet growing up I for example like everything from spicy Indian food to Szechwan foods

It has nothing to do with the physical property of being white, but everything to do with what the diets / foods commonly eaten by people who live in northern areas of the world, where most white people are found. Introduce the different foods slowly....meaning cook the food with less spice, but with a strong accent on developing taste within the foods. You can do that with subtlety if you use the same basic diet but add select spices to vary the flavours and they will learn to appreciate the strength of the spices used. Also note, ALL hot peppers represent irritants to the human body, so each person's body has to be conditioned to accept it, and this takes time.

So you're using the white people you know to judge all white people. I like spicy foods just fine. In fact curry chicken is one of my favorite dishes.

I guess it's more of a cultural/regional thing, they didn't grow up with those flavors. But I don't know, at Buffalo Wild Wings, there are pictures on the wall of customers who did the spicy hot-wing challenge and they all looked diverse but mostly white lol. I'm in Texas

I would eat anything spicy and strong.and my skin is white with some pigmentations.. but ok perhaps I wont eat that thing that they make in africa that thing that woman chew and spit to make ready. it is a little weird. I saw it in a documentary. a white souplike thing when it is done.

It all depends on what you're raised to eat and enjoy, it's nurture rather than nature.

In my opinion some of us fear new things because they're unfamiliar, some just fear change. 30 years ago in my community only a tiny few knew what a taco was. Less than 100 years ago white people feared using electric lights and telephones. Pretty silly, huh? So definitely keep trying. . . And you can always double dog dare them to try it .

It depends on what group of Whites. Those of Spanish decent and Eastern Europe loves strong flavoured food. Look at their preference of spicy foods. It's where they came from. Americans tend to prefer relatively bland foods. The soutwest is an exception. We are more into texture then flavour. Because we are a large country, we breed our food for it's ability to ship, and the flavour sacrifice for texture. Lot of countries like strong flavour because it's hot and spices are used to cover up the fact the meat has slightly spoiled. There are exceptions though.
