I have 1 kilo of great Aussie Prawns, [shrimp] how should I cook them?

you can boil them in water till they just change colour then immediatly put them in ice water. Then you eat them cold with some thousand island dressing. OR You can fry them in a pan with some garlic and onion. From there you can mix them with some pasta, or just add more veges and have a seafood stir fry.

the best way is to peel them (dont forget to take out the poop tube) mix them in chilli, garlic and a bit of soy sause and fry them up. yummy making my mouth water just thinking of it! wheres the fish shop!

Boil them and eat them plain,or put them in a curry,cook them whilst curry is cooking,or even boil and toss them in a salad.i cant stand seafood so cant really suggest anything extravagant

Wasabi Prawns Ingredients 6 prawns, shelled & deveined (use the freshest, biggest prawns you can find.)1 egg white vegetable oil for deep frying 3 tbsp cornflour 90ml mayonnaise 1 tbsp condensed milk 1 tsp wasabi powder (can put more if you want more wasabi kick) dash of lemon juice Direction 1. Dip the prawns in egg white, then coat evenly with cornflour. 2. Deep fry the prawns in 180C (356F) for about 3 minutes, until prawns turn crispy. 3. In a separate dish, combine the mayonnaise, condensed milk, wasabi powder and lemon juice. 4. Toss the deep-fried prawns with the wasabi mayo until evenly coated. Spicy Mayonnaise Prawns Ingredients 10 (or more) Medium Prawns, shells removed, back slit and devien. 2 egg yolks 2 tablespoon Cornflour A pinch of salt Oil for frying Sauce: 1 tablespoon Chilli Sauce 3 tablespoon Mayonnaise (I use Japanese Mayo) 1/2 tablespoon Fresh Milk 1/2 teaspoon Lemon Juice Mix prawns, egg, salt and cornflour together. Combine ingredients for sauce and set aside. Direction Deep fry prawns till golden brown. Remove and drain. In a wok, add 1/2 tablespoon oil, add the combined sauce and prawns Stir fry in low heat till the prawns are coated with sauce. Dish and serve hot. Note: I used two egg yolks instead of a whole egg to achieve a more yellow look for the prawns. Using whole egg is fine. Add more chilli sauce if you prefer it to be more spicy

Put them straight on the Bar B Que (unpeeled) until the colour changes to pinky-orange. Place them in boiling water until they go pinky-orange then put in iced water until cool & eat . Make a chili base & place peeled prawns in, cook for 10 minutes then add green capsicum,onion,coconut milk & palm sugar. Simmer for 13 minutes while u boil some white rice.

shrimp tom yum kung. in case u don't know what it is, it's a thai shrimp soup, but "WOW". i didn't know u could make fried rice with tom yum paste. in reference to the answer above mine.

make it like a portuguese peri peri prawn and put it on the BBQ or under the grill. Fresh red chillies chopped lemon juice salt olive oil fresh garlic chopped chopped parsely marinade them in the above and baste with some butter while grilling. I promise you will just LOVE them!
