How much does a sushi chef make?

I want to make sushi..?

  • I have my Morimoto cookbook (by Iron Chef Japanese Masaharu Morimoto) and a Sushi Kit that has all the tools to make sushi. But I don't know what brands are the best to buy. Can anyone suggest good brands of Wasabi, Pickled Ginger, Sushi Rice, Rice wine, and Rice vinegar? Also which grocery store is a good place to get the fish? Thanks! 10 points!

    Hi, try to find a Japanese grocery store where you live. I don't get many different brands where I live, so I just get whatever Japanese products are available from the Japanese grocery store. If you buy from other Asian grocery stores, just make sure the products are from Japan. They are usually very good quality. As for the fish, go to a fish shop and ask them for Sashimi-grade fish or the freshest fish they have available (salmon or tuna are good choices). Good luck!
