Answer:
Yes, I do like mixing rice into my chili. Also, I like mixing macaroni too... Chili-mac. Both are good... expecially topped with grated cheddar. Also... just flashbacked to college... chili and ramen was a common combo.

Dear Marcella, In my opinion, over hot rice! Chili con Carne on Rice 1 pound lean ground beef 1 cup chopped onion 1 (7 1/2-ounce) can whole tomatoes 1 (8-ouncez) can tomato sauce 1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon oregano leaves, crushed 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin 1 cup cooked or canned kidney beans 4 cups hot cooked rice Cook beef and onion in large saucepan until meat loses its pink color, stirring frequently to crumble meat. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, salt, garlic powder, oregano, pepper and cumin. Bring to a boil; stir well. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 45 minutes. Add beans; cook 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve over hot rice. Makes 6 servings. Dolores

It's your choice I prefer an outer ring of saffron rice - even noodles, pasta, or couscous for variation Chilli in centre of plate, surrounded with doritos, topped with melted cheese, and finally a tablespoon of creme fraiche or fromage frais on top of cheese. Yummy, yummy!!

It depends on whether you want the rice to absorb the flavor. My mom does mix it in. However, my friend's mom does it afterward because they like to add some contrasting taste.

I always put the chilli and tomatoes and beef mince altogether, and serve drizzled over the top of rice
