Im making rice that says use 4 cups of water i want to make twice as much rice do i use 8 cups of water?

To do it that way yes. 8-2 It is far easier to fill a pot with boiled water, bring it to the boil and then add the rice. Let it come back to the boil and then reduce the heat to a gentle simmer and allow to cook for 15 minutes until you get the desired texture and turn off element and drain well. the first person lied to you. its really 2 cups for 1 cup of rice. not sure if it matters much. to be safe do what i do because my rice always comes out fine

if you have 1 packet that says use for don't use double unless you have 2 packets other wise it will probably end up soggy and gross
