Why do Canadians slaughter defenseless beavers and eat their tails?

What kind of food do Canadians eat?

  • Okay so Im doing a report about Canada and I need to know what do Canadians eat.And please do not tell me they eat the same food as Americans.I need something traditional that Canadians eat.And plus I also need the recipe for that food so I can make it for my classmates. This is an assignment and if you could tell me what they eat specifically and give me the recipe of it I would appreciate your help (It doesnt need to be something really fancy just regular food that can be cutted into pieces or something).I need to write this down I only got 5 hours left until I have to turn it in.Thanks for all of your help!!

I hate to break it to you, but Canadians DO for the most part eat what other North Americans eat. There are a few things that aren't popular down here that are popular up there, notably poutine, but mostly you can find comparable foods. It also varies from region to region (much like it does in other parts of the world) and is influenced by the cultures that contributed to the area (again, like any other culture). It also is, of course, dependent upon what is in the region. For example, places that aren't near water aren't going to have much seafood. As a Canadian, I eat just about anything I choose to. You can consult the internet for some traditional "Canadian" recipes, however.
