How to prepare sushi?

What is the proper way to prepare the sauce for sushi?

  • Answer:

I normally pour a little soy sauce into the wasabi and smash it up with my chopsticks to dissolve it. It's easier when there is less soy sauce. When it's all smashed you can add more soy sauce to you liking. The ginger I usually leave outside of the mixture. I eat the ginger as "dessert" after I'm done to help get rid of any fishy taste in my mouth. They also say it helps kill any bacteria you may have eaten.

The way to do it, if you like wasabi, is to smush the wasabi in the soy sauce, until it is sort of dissolved, then you need to dip your sushi in that. The ginger is meant to cleanse your palate after the meal.
