Why are you a barista?

Where/how can I find a good, long barista training program?

  • I got my sight on becoming a experienced, professional barista for a living (I'm still 17, going to high school). I want to make it into my profession. I want to know is there's any good barista training programs that shapes you into a well experienced barista. Not just 5 hours of training in 2 days, I want to train for a year or go overseas to Italy and be an apprentice for 2 yrs or something. Know what i mean?

    Well, jeeze. It's not THAT hard. I work at Starbucks, and have been for about a month. I'm pretty experienced. And at some point, I can become a "Coffee Master"... I don't really want to though. But hey, maybe it could be a starting point for you. It won't hurt. You'll be doing something you love, while you get more experience.
