How is Coke multicultural?

How much healthier is it to drink Diet Coke over regular Coke?

  • I made a commitment to never ever drink regular soda again. I'm adapting pretty well to Diet Coke, and I haven't drank regular Coke for about 3 months. I was wondering how much healthier is it to drink Diet Coke? Is there still insane amounts of sugar in it?

  • Answer:

no, there's no sugar in it.... but the sweetner is not good either.... google aspartine(nutrasweet)..... If you are going for a no calorie coke... then I would get the coke zero or another that is sweetened with splenda.... Its much better for you.

Yes, I think it's healthier than regular Coke as there is no sugar in it. It is still as addictive though (I should know, I drink around 5 cans a day of the stuff!) due to the caffeine but the caffeine free varieties taste cr@p!

I hate to chime in on a negative note, but when ever I see someone talking about any of these product I just feel obligated to say a few things about them that the general public may not be aware of. The first and probably most significant reason is, carbonated beverages with caramel color have extremely high acidity levels. As most of you know in order to keep the body healthy you have to maintain an APPROXIMATE alkaline to acid ratio of 70/30 %. Drinking either Coke or Pepsi contributes to the imbalance. The carbonation in these drinks also fights with the natural stomach acids in the digestive system and results in ineffective digestion. Scientific studies have also shown how as few as one or two soft drinks a day can increase one’s risk for numerous health problems. Some of these health problems include obesity, diabetes, tooth decay, osteoporosis, nutritional deficiencies, heart disease, and many neurological disorders Dr. Charles Best, the discoverer of insulin, claims that teenagers who consume too many soft drinks have cirrhosis of the liver similar to what chronic alcoholics have.1 There is no cure for cirrhosis of the liver except to receive a new liver through a transplant. If your still not convinced try a couple of "do it yourself tests"next time you have the opportunity; Need to remove paint from your car? Don't sand it off, just use a can of Pepsi or Coke Clogged drain that can't even be fixed with Draino? Use a Coke or Pepsi How about a toilet so grimy and disgusting even sandpaper wouldn't clean it? Try Pepsi or Coke Want to clean the corrosion off your car battery? Coke or Pepsi? Does it ever really quench your thirst? Nope. Drink a Coke or Pepsi after getting close to dehydrated state and chances are YOU WILL DIE. So as we can see there are a lot of great uses for both Coke and Pepsi, but none of them include human consumption. I've included a few other sites below for those of you that might be a little more than curious about your favorite soft drinks. Remember, Coke DOES NOT add life.

Frankly Speaking

they say there are zero calories in it, but the sugar in it is still the same so that still adds the same fat on you and still increases your chances of diabetes

Diet Coke has aspartame and 0 calories but I'm sure it's not good for you. (Aspartame, cancer, etc) Ever try the new Coke Plus? It has added minerals and vitamins. Yeah, the thought of getting minerals and vitamins with Diet Coke is something to get used to, but hey, at least there's something in there good for you!

"Healthier" might not be the best way to describe the difference between Diet Coke and regular Coke, since neither are "healthy" for you. Diet Coke has artificial sweetners in place of sugar, so it is low in calories and low in sugar. Regular coke has more sugar and calories. Your very best bet from a health standpoint is to cut out the sodas and drink unprocessed liquids like water and natural juices. Even though there are sugars and calories in the juices, they generally have much more useful nutrition in them, and your body processes these types of sugars far better than aspartame or high fructose corn syrup. Americans are notorious for drinking their calories, so I'm very proud of you for making the commitment to change your habit and reduce your sugar consumption with the Cokes! To keep yourself on a healthier path, remember that there is a difference between "low calorie" or "diet" foods and *healthy* foods that are actually good for you and your body. I hope this helps...and keep up the good work for your health's sake! :)
