Advice on how to make the best ground coffee?

• Hello! I'm in 8th grade, and I'm a big coffee lover. I don't drink coffee alot, I drink it like once a few weeks. But I LOVE making coffee for guests that come over at my house and for my parents :) I use ground coffee (Folgers Classic Roast) to make it. I know how much ground coffee and water is needed for the right amount of servings. I don't have a coffee machine yet, but please tell me how to make the best ground coffee with a coffee machine. As of now, the coffee machine is in the storage somewhere and we can't get it out yet since we're moving soon and don't want a big mess. Tell me some advice how to make the best ground coffee without coffee machine and WITH coffee machine. Thanks a whole bunch!

  Well I don't know if you have any spending power right now, but a really nice way to make coffee is use a french press. You should be able to pick one up at walmart or target for less than 15-20 bucks. Basically it is a glass pitcher that has a screen at the end of metal tube, you put the coffee in the pitcher I use about 6 tablespoons of coarsely ground coffee and get about 4 or so cups out of it...if you're using pre-ground coffee you could probably get a way with 5 tablespoons because it is a finer grind. Pour 4 or 5 cups of very hot water and stir, let it sit for about 4 minutes and then push the metal tube down...this will push all the coffee grounds to the bottom of the pitcher and leave you with a real rich and flavorful coffee. (you can find better coffee at the store than folgers...but is a bit more expensive). It may sound a little weird but french press coffee is good...once you see the package you'll know exactly what I'm talking about Bodum is a company that makes a good french press. I'd recomend Peets if your store sells it, or check out a local coffee shop there is some great coffee out there.
