How to make good sparkling apple cider/juice?

• I am helping to throw a New Year's party this year, and since there will be people under 21 at it, I want to make some sparkling cider. I know you can buy it by the bottle, but it is pretty expensive and we're expecting a lot of people. I messed around with just adding sparkling water to apple juice, but it tasted watered down, and when I tried lemon lime soda it tasted funky, and generally not as high-quality as the bottled stuff. I don't need anything from scratch, but my friend told me that he used a brand called "Simple Apple Juice" and added dry ice.... does anyone have experience with this? Would this really work, and is there a simpler option than dry ice, because I feel like that would be a pain in the you-know-what...

  I looked up the Apple juice & dry ice recipe and it looks legit. It is just CO2, which is harmless. I don't think you could make it ahead of time without it losing its fizz though. There is also the soda stream machine, but that is pretty pricey. Honestly, I would just call around and see of Audi, Dollar Store, Walmart, or any grocery store is having a sale and ask them if they'll take 10% off for 6 or more bottles, like they do for wine.
