Are Energy shots good for u?

I've been drinking energy shots at work to stay focused. I see there are alot of vitamins in an energy shot. But is it good for u?Can it harm u?

They can harm you if you drink too many. Even the creater of healthy energy drinks using B vitamins, XS Energy reccomends against having more than 2 in a day. They still have caffeine in them. About the same as a basic cup of coffee, or around 85mg. Once you hit 300 mg of caffeine intake a day you start to have many health problems. Some are immediate and easy to resolve others are the result of long term use of high levels of caffeine. B vitamins are water soluable so if you don't need them at the time they will simply be excreted. Some of the other stimulants can build up and get to be too much but you will have problems with excess caffeine long before that ever happens. As long as you are drinking them in moderation you will not have any problems.

generally, energy shots aren't particularly good for you, but they wont hurt you either. i wouldnt get them everyday, but i think that three or four times a week would be fine :)

Energy shots are horrible for you! True that there might be a lot of vitamins in them, but don't you think then that instead of taking vitamins people would just drink an energy shot because it has extra incentive which is making you awake? Energy shots are horrible... you should just try to sleep more. If you are having cases of frequent insomnia then try taking sleep medication or visit your physician. Energy shots in the long run will harm you: psychologically (you'll be dependent on that boost to wake you up), emotionally (you'll get mood swingy), and chemically (trust me from personal experience, what energy shots and diet pills do to your digestive track and how things exit your body is not too cute). Good luck making it through work! I used to do the same thing and drink energy everything but I noticed bad side effects a month into it.

They're actually very bad for you. I have no idea why these things are FDA approved. They mess withyour heart, and if you drink them on a regular basis you will eventually have some complications. There are people who have heart attacks just from taking thse things -once-. Its documented, if you dont believe me look it up. I told my friend this for a year and she didnt believe me until her heart started beating really fast, or sometimes beating so slow it was painful for her. She quit energy drinks/shots after that. I suggest you either quit drinking those or cut back on doing it frequently.

energy shots areBAD! FOR U..... they look really cool and stuff but they are LOADEDwith caffiene and gensing...(hope i spelled that right)i've never had one but just on energy drinks it says for kids not to drink them ... (in a basic full throttle it has like 180 milligrams of caffiene)and what ur talking about is an energy SHOT so it probably has twice the ammount of caffiene and everything in it than a powerfull energy drink..... pluss just energy drinks can make u have heart problems , so what do u think an energy shot does to u???!!!... hope i helped.... if worse comes to worse then just drind an energy drink instead... :D

If you're taking them in excess, which it sounds like you are, yes, they're bad for you. It is possible to overdose on vitamins. If you feel like you must drink them, try to only drink one, say in the morning, and then have (pure) fruit juices and water throughout the rest of the day.

no. get more sleep. let those bad chemicals detox from your body and take natural sources for energy. (vitamins, green tea, look for vitamin B-12). once you've rid your body of "fake" energy, you will eventually feel the effects of the natural sources. good luck.

I drink amp alot and all of the other type of energy drinks before. I have noticed that i get really hyper for 1-2 hours then i just lose all of my energy. I think that they wont harm you, There are pretty much like Mountain Dews, or Cokes, ect....

Sometimes you can overdo the vitamins and minerals. The best approach is to take a good Multi-vitamin every day and eat a balanced diet with lots of fluids and exercise. That should get you moving.
