Why is pineapple juice sold in metal containers?

  • Next time at the supermarket take a look at the juice aisle. You'll see a half mile worth of juice in plastic containers. However, the pineapple juice is in metal containers. Why? You could say, "Oh, there's a chemical in pineapple that would have an adverse reaction with the plastic." Nope, the container says, "Refrigerate unused juice in glass or plastic container."
