Why can't I add subversion package to my OpenBSD 4.5 machine?

Descaling delonghi coffee machine: Ratios?

  • Hi, Bought a you beaut coffee machine the other month which came with the Nokalk descaler. According to the coffee machine manual, I am to descale at least once a month.... fine. My problem lies in that it asks me to dilute the Nokalk (refer to nokalk package for ratios).... so I have a gander at the Nokalk and the damn thing is telling me to refer to the manual for correct ratios. This makes me wonder, should I pour the contents of the nokalk into the machine and assume it is already diluted or fill the tank with water and add the nokalk and hope it isn't too diluted? Seems dumb, generally I'd work my own solution out, but its a $1000 machine soooooo considering it is worth more than most things I love, I might look after it. Thanks, Ash

  • Answer:

All you need to do is put the descaler into your water reservoir, top off with water and go through the brewing cycle. If your machine has a steam wand (I bet it does, but you don't give a model) shoot some water through it as well. Once you empty the reservoir, clean & rinse it, fill it with fresh water and do it again to clear any chemicals out of the line. If you're worried about chemical taste, you may want to rinse it one final time. I have a Rancillio & that's how I do it. I just use a different brand.
