Would Vitamin Water and vitamin pills make you do any better on running the school's mile?

Is Vitamin Water better than Crystal Light?

  • I have been drinking Crystal Light for the past few years, which is better than drinking soda all the time, but would Vitamin Water be MORE like water than Crystal Light? I'm just wondering if the aspartame from Crystal Light will negatively affect me long term.

  • Answer:

I like Vitamin Water better (specifically XXX). I feel that it is better for you because it contains vitamins and minerals, low calories and is naturally sweetened. Either is better than soda, even diet, as soda contains a ton of fake sugar or real sugar, caffeine and chemicals.

Yes, aspartame has been proven to give rats cancer tumors. It's really not good for you. Also, water soluble vitamins eg.g. vitamin C etc. are all but disappeared from the Vitamin water that they sell. Make fruit purees and mix that with water. Also try to stay away from plastic bottles because the plastic polymers will leach into the water and are bad for you (you can do research)

Both are chemically engineer. Try real organic fruit and blend it with water, it's healthier.

Aspartame is one of the most scientifically studied chemicals out there. There's a lot of conspiracy theories out there that say it's for population control or it causes cancerm but it's not verified. Another poster replied talking about the studies on rats, this was the Ramazzini study and it was later discounted for being experimentally flawed and failing on a number of basic scientific principles It's also important to note that the guideline maximum amount of aspartame one would need to ingest before any negative symptoms arose would be about 20 cans of diet coke per day, and obviously that's just not viable. Another point people are worried on is that the methanol gets converted by the body into formaldehyde. Which is true, however the amount of methanol produced from aspartame is less than what you would get from orange juice. And hell it's a lot lower than what you get from your alcoholic drinks where the ethanol becomes methanol and then formaldehyde and then formic acid The long and the short of it: aspartame is safe. Science backs it up. Don't listen to conspiracy theorists or people who think they understand biology but don't have a clue.
