Does anyone have some fantastic Polish Recipes?

Need a Faworki (Polish Dessert) Recipe, fast! Help?

• I need to make Faworki for a class on Friday to represent my Polish heritage, but I need to find a recipe first. I have to make enough to feed about 50 people in total. Does anyone know of any great recipes I can use for this dessert?

  2 cups flour 1 Tab sugar 2 Tab butter 1 egg 2 egg yolks 1 Tab sour cream 1 Tab vinegar (vodka is traditional, whiskey is also used) Oil for deep frying Powdered sugar for dusting Directions Mix all but the last two of the above ingredients together in a large bowl to form a dough. Roll out as thinly as possible. Cut into narrow strips and make a slit down the middle of each one. Push one end through the slit and pull gently so that you have a twist in the middle. Do this to all of the strips. Heat enough butter or oil in a pan for deep frying. Fry the pastry twists until golden on both sides. Drain on paper towles. Dust with powdered sugar.
