How To Cook Pork Chops?

How should I cook my pork chops?

  • I found this recipe for apple-horseradish sauce in my Food Network Kitchens Making it Easy cook book that I wanted to try: 1 cup apple sauce 1/4 cup sour cream 3 to 4 table spoons prepared white horseradish 1/2 teaspoon salt I want to try it but I don't know how I want to cook the chops. The recipe calls for frying them breaded with panko but I don't want to fry them at all. What should I do? Should I season them with garlic and herbs too? Bake them? Slow cook? What? I have 3 1 inch boneless pork chops. Suggestions would be much appreciated :)

  • Answer:

They are pretty thick, frying them, unless you are pretty good cook may be tricky. No one likes medium rare pork chops. I would season them with whatever you want and bake them. Be careful not to over cook. They have no bone and I am betting little fat. They may dry out fast. I have a pork chop secret. I brine them before I cook them, no matter which way I cook them. It is not difficult at all and it results in very juicy pork chops, even if you over cook them slightly. it is water and salt and letting them sit in it. 1/2 gallon of water warm water 1/4C regular salt OR 1/3 C Kosher or coarse salt You can also add in 1/3 C brown sugar or not Stir to combine. Add a tray of ice to cool water, stick the pork in, make sure they are submersed. You can use bowl or gallon zip lock bag. Put in fridge-Leave in brine at least 90 minutes but 2-3 hours is better. Take them out, dry them off. Do not use salt if you brine but you can pepper them, add whatever you herbs or spices you want. Cook whatever way you want (fry, grill, bake) People never know why my pork chops are juicy, this is why.

Bake it. If you have an air-fryer, use it instead.

I would bake them plain (so the sauce shines later) at 325F for about 30 mins or until fully cooked. Top with the sauce and enjoy.

Just salt and pepper, and bake. The sauce sounds delish!
