Has anyone taken a cooking vacation in another country?

• So I really like to cook and am in desperate need for a vacation. I have always wanted to see Italy and was wondeirng about the cooking vacations they have there. Since it is out of the country I worry about being taken advantage of. I know it's not wise to trust everything online and I don't know anyone that has been. I'm not even sure if the companies are real or not. So I was wondering the following.... 1. Have you taken a cooking vacation? 2. Where? 3. What company did you use? 4. How was it? 5. Any tips?

  1. Yes 2. Puglia, Italy 3. Lucky me - we had friends there! But there's loads of companies if you Google. You're looking at about £1k per head. 4. It was the most wonderful experience. Puglia is quite rustic and Italian is something I wouldn't to get better at, so this was the dieal for me. 5. I think the holidays are too expensive. Shop around, ask around, and, at this time, in Europe, you can afford to negotiate. Have fun.
