How do you pan fry and bake chicken in the same step?

• I have marinated skinless boneless chicken breast and I just got a new pan that can go from the stove-top to the oven. I've heard many times that a great way to cook chicken is to do stove-top and oven together. Do you start on the stove-top and finish in the oven? How many minutes on each step for about 2lbs of chicken breast? Thank you!!!

  Yep. Start on the stove top and finish in a 350 degree oven. Just brown the chicken breasts on both sides and toss into the oven until they reach around 165. Make sure your pan is oven safe. (oops, you said that already LOL) As far as how many minutes, it depends on how hot your pan is. On medium high maybe just a minute or two. Lift it up and peek to see if it's nicely browned then flip. You can even shove it into the oven right after you flip it since the residual heat from the pan will brown the 2nd side while it's in the oven. Oh yeah, when you take it out of the oven, remember that the handle will be SUPER hot. So wherever you place the pan (on the stove or on the counter) leave a towel draped over the handle or point it away from you so you don't accidentally grab it with a bare hand. I've done it a few times and feel stupid every time I do.
