What is domino's cheesy bread recipe?

Trying to make tasty easy recipe for bread.?

  • I have just started making bread a few weeks ago. Because my daughter had learned that some of the ingredients in store bought bread aren't good for us. So I began searching on the internet to try to find an easy recipe that both of my kids (5 and 6) can help me make, and is relativity fast. I could not find a recipe that didn't call for so much kneading and hours of time to rise. And not following some of these recipes may be my downfall. So I thought that I could try to stick with the basic ratios of what the bread would call for. And so far after making many loafs and trying to make it the easiest I can, and quick results for them. But the bread has turned out very dense, and has way too much flour taste. What is a good recipe for a good bread that tastes like store bought. Also we are a wheat bread family, which may be why we think it tastes to much like flour. So if you have a good wheat bread recipe we would all appreciate it.

  • Answer:

for a nice texture and flavor you NEED to follow the kneading and raising instructions. Both develop flavor and texture. What I used to do is set aside one day as baking day. I made 14 loaves that day and froze all but the 2 I needed for that day(I had 4 kids and homemade loaves are smaller...) IT freezes beautifully when bagged in heavy plastic bags with all the air pushed out. Each evening before going to bed, I would take out one or 2 loaves, depending on what I needed and it was thawed and wonderful the next morning. Since the raising takes time, I could easily do other things around the house, like baking other things or laundry or what ever. BUT you need to have the kneading and raising time. No getting around it for good bread. Ideally the dough should be raised and kneaded back down at least twice and if there is time, 3 times. It makes a wonderful texture.
