Traditional Kwanzaa dinner dishes?

I am looking for some different dinner ideas?

  • My husband loves coming home to a nice dinner and I do enjoy cooking. It seems lately I noticed I make a lot of the same dishes. I was wondering what other families have? What kind of dishes? I make spaghetti, soups, chicken dishes, beef roast etc. I am looking for some new ideas or other ways to cook some traditional dishes :) Thank you!!!!!!!! Thank you!!!

Stir fry is good and healthy! You could make your own pizza. Get the dough and all kinds of ingrediants that you like. (I make a great one. Alfredo sauce, motz cheese, artichoke hearts, pesto seared chicken, roasted red peppers) Spagetti squash with shrimp mixed in Turkey burgers Tacos Chili (its winter! very good) Pork roast with a dry rub, veggies, roasted red potatoes. (if you get those, quarter them, put some olive oil as a coating and use Liptons onion dip mix. Back them= SO GOOD!) Marinate some chicken breasts in italian dressing and sautee some peppers, mushrooms, onions in it as well.. Put it over rice easy green enchiladas. Get green enchilada sauce, chicken, taco mix, cheese, sour cream, tortillas. Cook chicken with some green chili sauce (enough to coat it) and mix in the taco seasoning. Mix some sour cream into a bunch of green chile sauce. Dop tortilla's in it and begin layering! Pour the sauce mixture over each layer (enough to make it most) and bake. Hope this helps!

a different way that I cook chicken is to brown on top of stove once each side is brown, not neccessarily cooked through, add 1/2 to 1 bottle italian dressing. When chicken is done I placed sliced pineapples atop each one, cover with mozzerella, place lid on pan until cheese is melted YUM OH

Chicken with rice and broccoli casserole using cream of mushroom and cream of chicken soup. Roast beef with red potatoes, onions, baby carrots, and green beans in a brown gravy sauce. Clam chowder is also a soup idea. A recipe my children especially likes is made as follows: Take a package of refrigerated croissant rolls and seperate into triangles. Mix canned chicken with cream cheese and spread onto the triangles and roll them up. Place into baking pan, cover with cream of chicken soup, no water, and cover with aluminum foil and bake for about a half hour at 350. Then take foil off long enough to brown the tops.
