I don't know how to cook. Is there any very easy dishes that are quick and also very good for you? I like most food especially good pasta dishes. I have never really cooked anything before so it has to be really easy

Hi there when i moved into my house last year we bought a few easy to make meal cookbooks. My fiance is not so much of a cook either but he did some recipes from Jamie Oliver's cookbook and he did pretty well, Alot of the stuff is really easy to make. Here is a link if that helps. It does say its £25 on the site but you can buy it from Sainsbury's for £9.99. http://www.jamieoliver.com/jme/books/info/ministry-of-food-signed-edition/100011.html If you enjoy pasta too, there are loads of things you can make up. Spaghetti bolognese, Lasagne, cannelloni, Pasta bakes, pasta salad etc. Tons of stuff and it's all so cheap to make too :)

The best place to start is with your family. I learned to cook at a very young age at home. One of my favorite books all time was the red and white checkered Betty Croker Cookbook. It was my grandmothers, I still have and use it some 30 year later.... There are tons and tons of published works at your local bookstore. I suggest any that have a binder.

cooking is easy, just read the instructions, for instance, corn tuna and pasta is nice, tin of corn , tin of tuna, and cook the pasta first having read the instructions on the packet, , then stir in the rest, buy a basic cook book, chat to your local butcher, experiment, cooking can be fun, its not hard

Look up "How to..." videos on youtube. I watch videos on there a lot to learn how to cook new things. Its more helpful then a cookbook because you can actually watch how things are done!! Also about.com has AWESOME easy recipes. Here is the recipe I use for alfredo! its really easy and tastes delicious! http://busycooks.about.com/od/pastawithsaucerecipes/r/fettuccialfredo.htm

I agree, the Betty Crocker book is great. It has great recipes as well as cooking basics, measurements, etc. Also, buy a crock pot. There are millions of easy recipes that you can throw into the pot before you leave for work in the morning.
