How do you make sushi?

  • Answer:

I dont like sushi but i did find a recipe for you SUSHI 2 c. rice 1 4/5 c. water 1/4 c. vinegar 1 tsp. sugar 2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. MSG Three hours before, wash rice well. Heat water in large kettle with a tight fitting lid, and just before boiling add rice. Bring water to a boil. Lower heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes. Rice should be firm. Place rice in shallow bowl, cool quickly while stirring in remaining ingredients when served with fish (raw or cooked). Each portion of rice is shaped into oval, and a slice of fish is pressed upon it. for more sushi recipe you can check here http://www.cooks.com/rec/doc/0,1-11,sushi,FE.html

Basic Steps to Make Sushi Roll: Cook sushi rice. Put a nori sheet on top of a bamboo mat (makisu). Spread the sushi rice on top of the nori sheet. Place the ingredients lengthwise on the rice. Roll up the bamboo mat, pressing forward to shape the sushi into a cylinder. Press the bamboo mat firmly and remove it from the sushi. Cut the rolled sushi into bite-sized pieces. You can cut the sushi better if you wipe the knife with a wet cloth before you slice it.
