How do you make a really good music video?

Want to make a music video for my single. How can I make a proffessional looking video, for TV, on my own?

  • Have no funds for expensive music videos etc. that production companies make so wanna do it on my own and make a proffessional looking video good enough for Music Channels to play it.

    Use sony sound forge for the music(editing and mixing) and windows media player to edit the videos. Obviously use a high quality digital camera to shoot. Let the camera run, do not be bothered bout the camere - i mean do it as if you are not doing in front of the camera. Do not make it as if a shooting is going on. I guess with that you are ready....

You can purchase a near movie quality digital video camera and make your movies using movie making software. If you don't want to purchase the camera, buy it and return it within the return date to get your money back. Start with an idea, use a storyboard to determine your scenes, camera angles and settings (it's like drawing out a comic book) and find some actors to work for free (a good director will keep them all on the same page). Good edits can do miracles for bad acting. Make sure you use the sound recording to play in the background as you're filming. Timing maybe prove difficult to an amateur editor.
