What is the difference between a tranny and a shemale?

A tranny was once a shemale. that means a shemale granny is called a tranny. well, that's what i know!

The difference is between a transexual (someone who has undergone sex change opperation) and a transvestite (someone who hasnt had surgery but dresses up in female clothing). Transvestites are she males, although its a street language terminology. They still have a male organ.

a transvestite is someone who likes to dress in the opposite sex's clothing. (no physical change.) a transsexual is someone who was born one sex but that gender doesn't match the one they feel they are. many of them pursue surgery to some degree, but not having surgery doesn't mean that someone isn't a transsexual. "she-male" is generally a sex-work term, like used in porn or by prostitutes -- a descriptive marketing term. it means that the person has a penis and breasts. many transsexuals could be offended by that terminology.

hmm,not sure but i think a tranny is a guy who dresses up as a woman, but has male sex organs,and a shemale is someone who has both female and male genitals.

Although im not an expert but a trany is medically had a surgical sex change. A she male is women with a dick surgically attach to her she can't not reproduce herself. Maybe she take sum antrogen or estrogen supplement to switch between male or female behaviour im not sure off!

One is heterosexual and likes to dress up. The other is homosexual and likes to dress up. Usually the convincing one is the Homosexual, but don't take chances, it could go wrong.

If by "tranny", you mean a transvestite (as opposed to a transsexual), that would be a cross-dresser. A she-male has sometimes gone a step beyond merely cross-dressing and has had some sort of surgical or hormonal intervention (breast implants, breast-enhancing hormones, genital surgery, castration, and so forth). Either that, or the she-male could have had some hermaphroditic tendencies to begin with, and merely enhanced it. These statements are not true in every situation, of course, but it's often true that she-males have somehow enhanced their appearance, whereas the transvestite leaves the matter at a change of wardrobe. As for transsexuals, a MTF (male-to-female) transsexual would likely not approve of being called a "she-male" because such a person would wish to be accepted as completely female, and not some sort of odd hybrid between male and female.
