How can I join a roller derby league?

Alabama Gulf Coast/Mobile/Florida Panhandle Grrls- Wanna join a Roller Derby League?

• We are currently looking for anyone interested in roller derby in our area. Roller Derby leagues have been starting up nationally, in Canada, Europe and Australia for several years now, and the WFTDA (www.wftda.com) or Women's Flat Track Derby Association is setting up the sport up with league requirements, rules, and national regions and tournaments. This is a real contact sport that takes a lot of physical talent! (But you also get hot names, themes, and outfits, often with fishnet hoes, etc. if you want.) The teams are all girls, but we also need strong male skaters to be Refs, also DJs to be announcers, and bands to play during the intermission. We're a long way from bouting right now, but I'm trying to generate interest, especially with you tough grrls out there. Body type doesn't matter. If you haven't skated in years, that's fine. If you've never skated but are willing to learn, we are accepting any kind of interest right now! Email or answer here so we can get rollin'!
