What are good acting and modeling agencies in New York?

What are real modeling and acting agencies in New York?

  • I'm a 16 year old girl turning 17 in 2 months. I'm 5'2 1/2. I understand I obviously can not do runway cause of my height. I honestly think I do have what it takes. I'm aware places like barbizon, one source talent, and anyone who asks for money are fake and scam people. So I would like to know what other places are the real thing and DO NOT ask for money. Thank you!

  • Answer:

For acting you can't get any agent in NYC until you have years of experience and training. At your age if you are not enrolled in one of the big performing arts schools or have at least been acting at an off-off-Broadway and have been taking classes for a few years, you are not ready for an agent. Agents do not represent beginners - they represent working actors For modeling, the big agencies who represent commercial print models of all heights are FFT, Rick Miller, Lauren Green, Bella Agency and Flaunt Models Barbizon and One Source are not agencies - they are paid for talent services or schools
