How do you get on broadway?

Broadway Question: how early do I have to stand in line to get rush tickets to a Thursday night show at 8?

I haven't been to a Broadway show in ages and just heard about discounted rush tickets. I am planning to see How to Succeed... on a Thursday, in the third week of Jan. The box office opens at 10 AM (Al Hirschfeld Theatre) and I was wondering if I have to get there at 6 AM, 7 AM, 8AM... How early should I get to the box office?
Answer:

All i can tell you to be 100% of, is that if you are there by 6, you will 100% get a ticket. Id say 7 would most probably be ok as well, but because i clearly dont want to be the reason for you missing the show, 6-6:30 will by far ensure you a ticket. Hope this was helpful!
