Does anyone have any ideas for a persuasive essay topic on controversial TV advertisement?

Have you seen the newer Volkswagen commercials? They aren't super controversial, but I have read some commentary in the news on them recently. The tv commercials show people just talking in a car and then the are in a pretty serious accident, the commercials really catch your attention, but the concern is does showing people in a car crash leave a bad impression of the car on the consumer. Car crashed haven't been shown in commercials before. See the attached articles. I guess Volkswagen's sales have been lifted partially due to the ads. Another campaign that has been in the press, is the American Apparel campaign. The campaign show younger, nearly naked people on the back covers of "trendy" magazines. The complaint is that the ads look like child pornography, because most of the photos are of teens and they are shot in a grainy way. Just some ideas.
