How can I to start my career as an actress?

I'm 14. How can I start my career of as an actress?

  • I live in Orange County, only an hour away from LA. I have blonde hair, am white, am 5'6" and 104 lb. Where can I start? Commercials, reality tv, films, short films... Any suggestions and places where I can find auditions would be most helpful. Thanks!

    Well, since you live so close to L.A. , I would suggest asking your parents if you can audition for a commercial involving teens. But you really have to work hard at it, and you need to have really good experience with acting. Go to drama classes, if you havent already, and gain more experience. Then, go out , and shoot for your dream. Its also good to know somebody in Los Angeles, like your dad's boss's cousin or your mom's sister's friend's cousin, or your bestfriend's uncle's brother. I guess you get the picture. Whatever :)

I'm 14 as well. And I wanting to do the same thing as you!!! All you gotta do is do good in school, stay in school, and go to college and that's how you can be an actress. So that's what I'm gonna do!!!! Good Luck!!! =0)

I'm 13 and I wanna do the same thing!! You should start small like trying out for a school play or joining a drama club.

Stay in school, and start with stage acting (school plays, community theatre), that way you can learn to act before you go in to commercials, etc. where you're only chosen for looks.
