How do I get a Nirvana sound on guitar?

What electric guitar pedal should i get for a Motley Crue sound?

• My electric guitar sound is bland without a pedal and I only have an amplifier at the moment. I want to get the real metal/rock sound out of my guitar, like Motley Crue and DethKlok. what guitar pedal should I get? I heard the SD-1 pedal was good, what do you think about it? thanks guys.

  if you want a really heavy metal sound get a death metal pedal, on a clean setting it can still give crazy distortion, if its more of a startadrd overdrive distortion, get a boss ds-1 pedal. also if you have a fender squire guitar or something i reccomend i new guitar after you get the pedal. bc rich makes really heavy guitars, (hevy as in sound) dean is more for fast solos, like pantera, esp can kinda go both ways.i hope this helped, email me if you need more help "[email protected]"
