How does one become a record producer?

How do you become a Record Producer?

• Okay, so I can't sing or dance professionaly but I love music so I thought of becoming a record producer in the future. How would I start, do I go to collage or do I do it on my own? & is a music producer and a record producer the same thing? I think they are but I just want to make sure.

  Wow...me too. I can neither sing or dance but i wanna work in music line. Okay, from what i know, its better if you could go down to your nearest media center and ask. Probably they will tell you what they want and how you can achieve it. I think music producer is specialize in recording music. For example, while artists are recording songs, music produce will have to be there to ensure they sound the best and all these. Whilst record producer will look after the record sales and all the album packaging. But i think if you were to become a record producer, no harm trying out music producer. In this way, you will be able to supervise every small details and make it a better or maybe the best album!
